No matter which integration method you choose, here's the sequence to follow for the smoothest path to your first live payment.

Once you've chosen your path in step 1, keep it in mind as you go — the prerequisites configuration, and payment request in steps 2, 3, and 5 differ between Direct API and Hosted Components.

  1. Get familiar with the API's philosophy
  2. Choose your integration path — Direct API or Hosted Components.
  3. Get connected to Paystrax and learn the prerequisites for your integration.
  4. Configure the integration on your end.
  5. Learn how to set up webhooks to receive updates from the API visiting Webhooks.
  6. Make a test payment and validate it against your own system.
  7. Learn how to handle errors and declined payments.
  8. Once everything is set up, work through the Go Live checklist.
